Sygnum became the first regulated bank to add support for staking the Tezos cryptocurrency (XTZ).
📌According to a press release dated November 6, the bank will provide custody, trading, lending and staking services to XTZ. Tezos has an estimated annual staking yield of around 5%.
Sygnum is regulated as a bank by the Swiss Financial Markets Authority (FINMA) and offers a range of digital asset services.
🔺 “Sygnum's offering of Tezos staking service confirms the security and reliability of the network and is another step towards wider institutional adoption,” said David Fuchs, Head of European Institutional Investors at the Tezos Foundation.
In May, Swiss cryptocurrency brokerage Bitcoin Suisse added support for XTZ staking for institutional clients. Coinbase's custodian division is currently the largest validator on the Tezos network.
