    What do I think about ISTQB certifications? A lot of people are keeping asking me about it, so I'll send them link to this message in the future :) --- Short: In any case - read all syllabuses you want, starting from the foundation level. They are well structured (in comparison to old books and articles in web) and are almost up-to-date. Still, modern testing techniques and practices are not highlighted there yet (maybe because they are written by testers with 20-30 years of experience that test nothing for decades) IF you have a long term project that requires this certification for your position (and you want to work on that project for 4-6-10 years) -> do it. But, only if your company pays for the course, exam and will pay for all (surprise) renovations (including not only the exam - but your trips to certification centers and back) In all other cases - don't waste your money and time. --- Long explanations will be posted with #istqb tag later (telegram messages are not so big to cover it)

    Demand for QA will soon explode. The flood of AI-generated code will require rigorous testing and validation. And QA is the obvious choice for that. Here's what to expect: 🔵 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗤𝗔 As code creation becomes abundant, ensuring the correctness of behaviour becomes even more crucial. As a result, QA is likely to become a more important aspect of the software development process. 🟣 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗤𝗔 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 QA methodologies will need to adapt to the new landscape created by AI-generated code. This may involve the development of new testing frameworks or strategies designed specifically for AI-generated code. Testing tools will themselves become AI-powered, and oversight of them will need to be incorporated into the QA process. 🟡 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝗔 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 As AI-generated code becomes more prevalent, the role of QA professionals may shift to higher-level responsibilities. Monitoring and validating go-live gating, assessing the reliability and security of AI-generated code, and ensuring compliance. 🟠 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 Software development will become less about writing code and more about defining expected behaviour. The gatekeepers will be those who can express behaviour in a language that can be formally validated. BDD anyone? 🟢 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 As most code-related tasks become orders of magnitude faster, engineers will need to improve their soft skills, such as communication, collaboration and adaptability. The ability to work effectively with people will become a key differentiator. For some time to come, we'll still want an expert eye to validate things before they go live. Especially in regulated sectors and non-trivial products. QA will very quickly become the bottleneck, and that will drive demand.
