What do I think about ISTQB certifications? A lot of people are keeping asking me about it, so I'll send them link to this message in the future :) --- Short: In any case - read all syllabuses you want, starting from the foundation level. They are well structured (in comparison to old books and articles in web) and are almost up-to-date. Still, modern testing techniques and practices are not highlighted there yet (maybe because they are written by testers with 20-30 years of experience that test nothing for decades) IF you have a long term project that requires this certification for your position (and you want to work on that project for 4-6-10 years) -> do it. But, only if your company pays for the course, exam and will pay for all (surprise) renovations (including not only the exam - but your trips to certification centers and back) In all other cases - don't waste your money and time. --- Long explanations will be posted with #istqb tag later (telegram messages are not so big to cover it)
