JACKSCREW is a device used to lift heavy weights such as vehicles. Accident occurred on the 3d of January, 2014 in Silver City. The pilot reported that he lowered the landing gear and observed gear-down indications before touchdown; however, the landing gear collapsed during the landing. A postaccident examination of the airplane revealed that all three landing gears had collapsed; no anomalies in the extension/retraction linkage were found. It is possible that the nose landing gear did not fully extend and lock down before landing due to either the inoperative limit switch or a slight misreading of the system. However, because the landing gear was operated by the transmission JACKSCREW, it is unlikely that an issue with the nose landing gear would have caused a collapse of the main landing gear if the main landing gear was fully extended and locked in the down position. The reason for the landing gear collapse could not be determined. There were no injuries.

Forced landing is a situation where an aircraft unavoidably needs to land, usually regardless of terrain. For instance, a plane lost all engines and had to execute a forced landing on the highway. Sometimes forced landings are not related to emergency. For example, pilots performed a forced landing following a military interception. Precautionary landing is a situation where further flight is possible but inadvisable. It can be connected with technical malfunctions(which don't require Mayday call) or adverse weather. For instance, pilots performed a precaitionary landing due to gradualy developing engine trouble. The difference between PRECAUTIONARY LANDING and FORCED LANDING is that in first case flightcrew has the right to continue the flight whilst in the second case there is no such option.

HALF MEASURE is an action or policy that is not forceful or decisive enough. August 7, IndiGo flight 6E 556 from Jaipur to Bengaluru was involved in a bomb-threat emergency. Shortly before landing, a handwritten message was found in a toilet that said a bomb was onboard. The BDDS, dog squad and other security personnel searched the aircraft on landing, but no bomb was found. All passengers were required to supply a sample of their handwriting, which was sent to forensic specialists for examination. There are no HALF MEASURES when bomb threats are received, and on both occasions, Indian authorities have handled the issue in a textbook way.
