Opt for- choose, go for (делать выбор) ✔️Many companies now opt for outsourcing
Fill in-to give someone the details about something (информировать) ✔️There is no time to explain, I’ll fill you in on the way
Get back to- to return with an answer to a question or a request at a later time (вернуться, используется в emails и на созвонах) ✔️I’ll get back to you as soon as the product owner clarifies these requirements
Carry out- perform, do (выполнять) ✔️The assignee has carried out the work needed on the issue, and it needs peer review before being considered done
(Not) measure up- not satisfactory, it doesn’t compare well with the standards (отвечать требованиям) ✔️The designer’s work just doesn’t measure up to the quality we’ve come to expect
Get down to- to start doing something seriously and with a lot of attention and effort (приниматься за что-то) ✔️Everyone has finally arrived, so we can get down to work
Sign off- approve, confirm that something is done (e.g. according to the acceptance criteria) (одобрять, закрывать) ✔️We have business stakeholders signing off completed user stories in the Daily Scrum
Run by- to show an idea or proposal to the person and ask her/him for the approval or feedback (поделиться идеей) ✔️That’s an interesting idea. Let’s run it by the owner and see what she thinks about it
Pencil in- to set up an appointment, but not confirm it as final (предварительно договориться) ✔️Let’s pencil in a defect status meeting- but I’ll drop you a message to confirm it later
Take up- to start a new activity (заняться, взяться) ✔️Are you ready to take up a new project?
