Bandet bildades 2008, fick skivkontrakt 2013 och slog igenom brett 2017 med sitt tredje album Rise and Shine, där The Apocalypse DJ infördes. Take Me Away was shot in Los Angeles directed by Dan Garland aka Danny Aces, guitar player of New Medicine. The video shows singer Jake Scherer in a dream state going in for a lobotomy to cure his depression and anxiety. Opening line "I need a break from my brain" is really what inspired this concept. We take mental health very seriously, this is meant to shed light on the inescapable thoughts some people have and are desperate to get a break from.
