Our European correspondent comments on the woke issue.
"Woke" has much to do with this topic, the word here was deliberately employed in conjunction with the word "crusade."
Because for a thousand years crusades came from the west making violent incursions into the east and the levant. In the name of God, righteousness, equality, or some other common ogod of mankind false pretense.
It has been a western hallmark for the last thousand years to commit atrocities during invasions worldwide in the name of the good, Jesus, God, equality, freedom, democracy - etc. etc. ad nauseam - or any other eschatological set of principles espousing to be self - righteous while claiming to be heir to some form of moral superiority over other peoples. American call such nonsense manifest destiny and the French call it the civilizing mission - the 'mission civilisatrice' - of the west. In essence this behavior is pure Zionism and the world at large is sick of it. Ad nauseam.
The whole world knows this taboo story quite well…
