Ввожу для таких случаев новый хэштэг #Recap. К слову, ‘recap’ означает “краткий повтор, конспект, резюмирование, повторение чего-либо”.
Ниже будет история, которая содержит большинство слов, на которые мы взглянули на этой неделе. Попробуй прочитать её и посмотреть, понимаешь ли ты смысл всех выделенных слов. It was a warm autumn evening of 2014 and I was a freshman at Harvard. I genuinely can’t recall now how I ended up at one of my friends’ apartment that night. When I showed up at the door I saw all of my university pals, a handful of people with whom we bonded over our shared interest in computers. The owner of the apartment, Mark, told me with some unease that there was a nagging bug in his program that he just couldn’t figure out and it was crucial that he got his program off the ground before the morning of the next day. He asked me if I could help him. Confronted with this question, I agreed, but said, ‘Don’t rely too much on me’. Mark then left me with his laptop and joined the rest of our friends who were watching TV and having beers. I yearned for some rest and felt detached from the ‘party’ but kept up working on his program, which I actually had to build almost from scratch. But actually I wasn’t mad or anything because it helped me enhance my programming skills and I scored an ‘A’ on my next test.
