Hi all, we are going to dive into an inspiring story about three college graduates who started a fast food chain that is worth over 1 billion dollars.
Today we try something different. It is not always important to know how a word is translated into your own language. More often than not, understanding is more crucial than knowing the equivalent in your language. Genuinely understanding a word or a phrase means you can always come up with your own translation.
Look at the words and phrases below, think whether you know what they mean. Then read an example sentence. After that read the definition to see the meaning and check your understanding.
🔘a freshman
He was a freshman in college when we first met.
