I think everyone celebrates New Year with their own traditions What about your family customs?

✌🏻Here’re few strangest New Year’s Traditions from around the World
🇪🇸SPAIN
💭In Spain, it is customary to eat 12 grapes – one at each stroke of the clock at midnight on New Year’s Eve Each grape represents good luck for one month of the coming year
In bigger cities like Madrid and Barcelona, people gather in main squares to eat their grapes together and pass around bottles of cava(spanish wine)
🇵🇦PANAMA
💭In Panama, the New Year’s tradition for good luck is burning effigies of everyone and anyone famous(politics, tv-stars etc)
🇵🇷PUERTO RICO
💭In some parts of Puerto Rico they throw pails of water out of their windows to drive away evil spirits
💬P.S. To memorize:
Customary(ˈkʌstəmərɪ) - местные обычаи Stroke of the clock(strəuk) - удар часов Gather in main square - собираться на главной площади Pass around bottles of wine - раздавать бутылки вина Effigy(ˈef.ə.dʒi) - чучело/фигура Pail of water(peɪl) - ведро воды Evil spirit(ˈi:vl ˈspɪrɪt) - злой дух
🙇🏻♂️I’m so tired of boring English lessons Do you? 👵🏻Your English teacher n books in school/uni are from 50’s-60’s? So, you can be a good teacher for urself
💭MY ADVICES:
1. Make stickers everywhere at home(sure can at work or in ur bro house, but this should be too much, 🤪lol) On the one hand you can write English word, other - it’s translation Paste near ur computer or working place, memorize words and write on stickers another one
2. English everywhere: Movies/serials etc, don’t forget about our heading #potato_movietime
📲Even change your phone language into English and download flashcards apps
My favorite are: Tinycards and Quizlet
💭P.S. Hope it was informative enough Soon will show you the other lifehacks
👇🏻Push the button and read the translation, but don’t be a cheater ;)
🕺🏻Forget about common mistakes with our popular heading
#commonmistakes #atintheend
👆🏻Just use this hash and memorize rules, words etc
❓So what’s the difference between AT/IN THE END?
🧠IN THE END
Is similar to finally or eventually Use it when you are saying what happens finally, after everything has been thought about or discussed
In the end по смыслу похоже на в конечном итоге Используйте это выражение, когда говорите о том, что произойдёт в конце концов, после того, как всё обдумано и обсуждено
💭Example:
He had promised to share his prize, but in the end he didn’t
Он обещал поделиться с другими своим призом, но в конечном итоге не поделился
👀AT THE END will look tomorrow. And get ready for the new test-drive
