​​IDEX has closed $2.5M USD seed fundraising round. The round was led by G1 Ventures and Borderless Capital, with participation from Collider Ventures and Ethereum prediction market project Gnosis. IDEX is in the process of launching an improved version of its existing exchange called IDEX 2.0.

​​Stafi Protocol has started StakingDrops for Cosmos (ATOM) and Kusama (KSM) on August 6. Users will be able to get both staking rewards and FIS token. Stafi will be distributing 2% of the total supply via StakingDrops activities. StakingDrop for MATIC, KAVA and ONE are yet to be announced.

The program will allow to distribute rewards (15% APR) to both stakers and liquidity providers depending on how long a staker decides to keep STAKE in the application and the total amount staked. Longer staking times benefit the Staker, and shorter staking periods benefit Liquidity Providers.

Among updates: improved user’s interface; new website token reward system to inceltivize users; added the ability for users and teams to show that they are “ready” on D-day. By the end of the month the site will add new tournaments and expand games to include LOL, Valorant and PUBG. Esports Fight Club aims to focus on both the organisers and players for a shared and competitive journey.

​​Geeq (GEEQ) will have a premiere listing on BitMax on August 6. GEEQ/USDT trading will start at 10:00 a.m. EDT. Startup will enter the market with 1,570,000 GEEQ out of 100,000,000 total supply. ​​Following the DeFi trend: Verasity’s VeraWallet will offer DeFi services to its users. According to the recently blog post VeraWallet has recreated a traditional financial instrument in a decentralized architecture. Verasity’s DeFI liquidity providers include: Totle, Uniswap and CoinSwitch. More DeFi liquidity providers are coming onboard.

​​Matic teamed up with Bluzelle to enable decentralized storage for Matic DApps, bringing DApps closer to full decentralization. By utilizing Matic’s scaling solution alongside Bluzelle's decentralized data storage network, DApp developers are now being empowered with the ability to create DApps which can effectively provide large user numbers with secure, high-performance data storage.

​​Polkadot (DOT) trading & staking to be enabled on BitMax after DOT transfers enabled. DOT transfers will begin at block #1,205,128, expected around 3pm (CEST), on the 18th August. DOT 1:100 denomination will happen on the 21st August, at block #1,248,328.

​​Ethereum 2.0's multi-client Medalla testnet goes live. The final public testnet with 20,000 validators is now live according to the Ethereum Foundation. Medalla is the final testnet before the launch of the Eth 2.0 network, which is tentatively expected by year’s end.

​​Serum (SRM) initial exchange offering will take place on FTX and BitMax on August 7. FTX will have a maximum of 1200 buyers and 2,500 SRM bid size each. In order to participate users are required to hold an average of 10+ FTT during 30d period. BitMax will offer 600 participation slots, 5,000 SRM each. There is no specific holding requirements on BitMax and any user can participate in this sale.

​​MiLk (MLK) will get listed on KuCoin on on August 6. Korean startup had a premiere listing on Upbit earlier this year. KuCoin will enable MLK/USDT and MLK/BTC trading at 16:00 on August 6 (UTC+8).
