Комиссия по ценным бумагам и биржам США (SEC) в понедельник отложила принятие решений по трем заявкам на запуск биржевых инвестиционных фондов (ETF) на основе биткоина. Об этом сообщает CoinDesk.
✅Составленные совместно с биржами NYSE Arca и Cboe BZX заявки от управляющих активами Bitwise Asset Management, VanEck/SolidX и Wilshire Phoenix предполагают запуск первых в США регулируемых ETF. Эти заявки были опубликованы в Федеральном реестре в феврале и июне и с того момента у Комиссии есть 240 дней на принятие финального решения
Окончательные сроки принятия решения по заявкам Bitwise и VanEck/SolidX приходятся на 13 и 18 октября соответственно. Решение по заявке Wilshire Phoenix будет принято 29 сентября.
🔽За последние несколько лет различные компании добивались одобрения от SEC на запуск биржевых фондов, но каждый раз регулятор отвечал отказом. Чаще всего причины негативного решения объяснялись рисками рыночных манипуляций и недостаточно разработанными инструментами контроля за рынком.
Пытаясь развеять сомнения SEC, компания Bitwise опубликовала несколько отчетов, в которых говорится, что, вопреки распространенному мнению, реальный рынок биткоина не столь велик, в определенной мере прозрачен и довольно эффективен, если не принимать во внимание некоторые биржи с фейковыми объемами торгов.
Также отметим, что предложение по ETF от Bitwise получило поддержку от более 30 известных представителей индустрии, включая Blockchain Capital, Castle Island Ventures и Coinbase Custody.
❗️Весьма примечательно, что в этот раз биткоин совершенно не отреагировал на отрицательное решение SEC — цена осталась зажата в узком боковике:
Не исключено, что большинство участников рынка уже смирилось с, как правило, негативными решениями SEC. Тем не менее, если Комиссия невзначай одобрит осенью хотя бы одну из заявок, может произойти резкое оживление на рынке.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday postponed the decision on three applications for the launch of exchange-traded investment funds (ETFs) based on bitcoin. It is reported by CoinDesk.
Заявки Compiled jointly with NYSE Arca and Cboe BZX exchanges, applications from Bitwise Asset Management, VanEck / SolidX and Wilshire Phoenix asset managers suggest the launch of the first US regulated ETFs. These applications were published in the Federal Register in February and June and from that moment the Commission has 240 days to make a final decision.
The final deadlines for deciding on Bitwise and VanEck / SolidX applications are October 13 and 18, respectively. Wilshire Phoenix's decision will be made on September 29th.
🔽 Over the past few years, various companies have sought approval from the SEC to launch exchange-traded funds, but each time the regulator refused. Most often, the reasons for the negative decision were explained by the risks of market manipulations and insufficiently developed market control tools.
Trying to dispel the doubts of the SEC, Bitwise has published several reports that say that, contrary to popular belief, the real Bitcoin market is not so large, to some extent transparent and quite effective, if you do not take into account some exchanges with fake trading volumes.
Also note that the Bitwise ETF proposal has received support from more than 30 well-known industry representatives, including Blockchain Capital, Castle Island Ventures, and Coinbase Custody.
❗️ It is extremely remarkable that this time Bitcoin did not react at all to the negative decision of the SEC - the price remained squeezed in a narrow side:
It is possible that most market participants have come to terms with, as a rule, negative SEC decisions. Nevertheless, if the Commission accidentally approves at least one of the applications in the fall, there may be a sharp revival in the market.
