Добывающая Bitcoin канадская компания Bitfarms, выпустила финансовый отчет за III квартал. Ее шахты продолжают наращивать размер чистого убытка, несмотря на рост стоимости криптовалюты, который достиг размеров $4,8 млн.
В прошлом квартале Bitfarms потеряла $3,7 млн, первые три месяца 2020-го года были завершены с минусовым балансом $2,4 млн.
Компания оправдывает последние потери, почти двукратным снижением уровня добычи Bitcoin, упавшим с 815 монет до 533 монет. Параллельно со снижением выручки выросла себестоимость майнинга с $5075 до $7500.
☝️Убытки не позволили Bitfarms подготовится к халвингу и провести техническое перевооружение шахт. Компания вынуждена арендовать новое оборудование, заключив контракт с Blockfills на поставку 3000 WhatsMiner M31S.
Аналитики отмечают, что финансовые проблемы Bitfarms связаны с высокой стоимостью поставляемого электричества и большими процентами по взятым долгам. Убыточный 2020-й год может привести к дефолтам по кредитным выплатам в 2021-м году.
📌Руководство фирмы ожидает, что решит проблемы за счет переезда в Южную Америку, где удалось заключить контракт на долгосрочные поставки дешевого электричества, позволяющего запустить старые ASIC-майнеры, простаивающие с мая на складах.

Canadian Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms has released its financials for the third quarter. Its mines continue to increase their net loss, despite the rise in the value of the cryptocurrency, which reached $ 4.8 million.
Bitfarms lost $ 3.7 million in the last quarter, and the first three months of 2020 ended with a negative balance of $ 2.4 million.
The company justifies its recent losses by almost halving its Bitcoin production, which fell from 815 coins to 533 coins. In parallel with the decline in revenue, the cost of mining increased from $ 5075 to $ 7500.
☝️The losses prevented Bitfarms from preparing for the halving and carrying out the technical re-equipment of the mines. The company is forced to lease new equipment, having entered into a contract with Blockfills to supply 3000 WhatsMiner M31S.
Analysts note that Bitfarms' financial problems are related to the high cost of electricity supplied and high interest rates on borrowed money. Unprofitable 2020 could lead to defaults on loan payments in 2021.
📌The management of the company expects to solve the problems by moving to South America, where they managed to conclude a contract for a long-term supply of cheap electricity, allowing to launch old ASIC miners, which have been idle in warehouses since May.
