Майнеры криптовалют в Иране должны в течение месяца зарегистрироваться у регулятора в рамках новой национальной стратегии по развитию индустрии майнинга в стране.
✅Вице-президент Ирана Эсхак Джахангири (Eshaq Jahangiri) объявил в понедельник, что скоро криптовалютные майнеры должны будут зарегистрировать свои майнинговые фермы у регулятора. В соответствии с новой директивой, майнеры обязаны раскрывать свою личность, количество имеющихся у них устройств для майнинга и их тип.
Эти данные майнеры должны будут сообщать в Министерство промышленности, добычи и торговли. Майнерам дан месяц, чтобы зарегистрировать свое оборудование, после чего Министерство опубликует список лицензированных центров добычи.
Директива в конечном итоге даст Ирану более жесткий контроль над находящимися в стране майнерами. Наказание за отказ от регистрации у регулятора не указано в директиве, однако ранее нелегальные майнеры биткоина уже сталкивались с проблемами с законом.
🔺Официальные лица заявили, что с помощью новой директивы хотят «устранить путаницу, связанную с криптовалютными операциями». Однако эта путаница в значительной степени была связана с более ранними действиями иранского правительства.

Cryptocurrency miners in Iran must register with the regulator within a month as part of a new national strategy to develop the mining industry in the country.
И Iranian vice president Eshaq Jahangiri announced Monday that cryptocurrency miners will soon have to register their mining farms with the regulator. In accordance with the new directive, miners are required to disclose their identity, the number of mining devices they have and their type.
Miners will have to report this data to the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade. The miners were given a month to register their equipment, after which the Ministry will publish a list of licensed production centers.
The directive will ultimately give Iran tighter control over miners in the country. The punishment for refusing to register with the regulator is not indicated in the directive, but previously illegal bitcoin miners already had problems with the law.
🔺Officials said they want to “eliminate the confusion associated with cryptocurrency operations with the new directive.” However, this confusion was largely related to the earlier actions of the Iranian government.
Last summer, the Iranian government equated mining with industries, and in September there was information that they plan to introduce compulsory licensing of mining companies in the country. Last fall, Iranian authorities announced that they were ready to pay a fee for providing information about illegal mining in the country.
