Ценные бумаги MoneyGram на последнем этапе сделки продавались по 4,1 доллара за единицу. Стартап теперь является владельцем более 9,9 процента ценных бумаг компании, которые находятся в обращении. Представители Ripple также отметили, что еще до сделки велись переговоры о создании новых программных продуктов в сфере платежей с использованием XRP, но теперь все процессы будут происходить быстрее.

Ripple и американская компания MoneyGram начали сотрудничать еще в 2018 году. Тогда платежная система начала применять продукт xRapid. Сейчас же речь идет о создании отдельной сети, которая будет отвечать за транзакции с XRP и другими активами.
