Майнеры Bitcoin Cash потратили ресурсы на добавление нескольких блоков в старую цепь, после того как криптовалюта подверглась запланированному хард форку в пятницу.
🔽Несмотря на успешное прохождение обновления, значительная часть майнеров, по всей видимости, не обновила своё ПО, из-за чего своевременно не смогла перейти в новую цепь.
По данным созданного биржей BitMEX сервиса Fork Monitor, в общей сложности после хард форка в старую цепь Bitcoin Cash было добавлено 14 блоков.
«В цепи на оригинальных правилах нет транзакций (за исключением coinbase-транзакций) по причине использования мер для защиты от повторного воспроизведения. Очевидно, майнеры в необновлённой цепи Bitcoin Cash впустую расходуют свои ресурсы», – пишут BitMEX Research.
❗️По данным портала Coin Dance, в момент публикации 76% всех публично доступных нод Bitcoin Cash используют актуальные правила консенсуса.
Вместе с тем, BitMEX Research отмечают, что даже в случае возникновения превосходства альтернативной цепи по числу выпущенных блоков из-за сниженной сложности майнинга, основной объём хеш-рейта по-прежнему сконцентрирован в цепи, перешедшей на новые правила консенсуса после обновления.

Bitcoin Cash miners spent resources on adding several blocks to the old chain after the cryptocurrency underwent the planned hard fork on Friday.
🔽 Despite the successful completion of the update, a significant part of the miners, apparently, did not update their software, due to which they could not switch to the new chain in a timely manner.
According to the Fork Monitor service created by BitMEX, a total of 14 blocks were added to the old Bitcoin Cash chain after a hard fork.
“There are no transactions in the chain on the original rules (with the exception of coinbase transactions) due to the use of measures to protect against replay. Obviously, miners in the non-updated Bitcoin Cash chain are wasting their resources, ”write BitMEX Research.
ОAccording to the Coin Dance portal, at the time of publication, 76% of all publicly available Bitcoin Cash nodes use the current consensus rules.
However, BitMEX Research noted that even if the alternative chain is superior in the number of blocks issued due to the reduced mining complexity, the bulk of the hash rate is still concentrated in the chain that switched to the new consensus rules after the update.
