SHIFT DRESS (платье прямого силуэта) is a dress in which the cloth falls straight from the shoulders and has darts around the bust. Shift dresses are often confused with sheath dresses. SHEATH DRESS (платье-футляр) is a close-fitting dress, often with a split on one side. Both dresses convey clean simplicity and tend to be short to mid-length. But while a shift dress is loose and comfy, sheath dresses are form-fitting following the curves of the hips, waist, and bust. COLUMN DRESS (платье-колонна) is a long slim-fitting dress with a straight narrow shape. WRAP DRESS (платье с запахом - ударение на второй слог 😉) is a dress with a front closure formed by wrapping one side across the other and tying it into a knot or bow. It is by far the most flattering style for all body types. It accentuates the waist and bust, helps hide the bulges and creates curves where they are lacking.
