If you want to communicate in English well, I think you should be a good listener, too.

Actually, you learn to listen first as a child. You listen to your parents, then respond, first with your mimics, gestures, yells and screams. Then step by step you add single words, after you make sentences.

To my mind, similar things happen when you study a foreign language.

So, relax, it is ok if you can understand more than you can speak!
