🇬🇧Here's what happens if you take a break from practicing English. American writer Jhumpa Lahiri compared a foreign language to a fragile muscle that needs to be trained, otherwise it will weaken. And indeed . If the language is not used, words are forgotten, rules are confused, speaking and listening skills get weaker. To maintain the level of English, you do not have to constantly study it. You can simply use it, and development will occur naturally. 🔹 Watch movies in English, and start with those that you have watched many times and love very much. In this case, there is no need to follow the plot, you can enjoy the native voices of the actors and the English language. 🔹Subscribe to YouTube channels according to your interests: yoga, travel, cooking, etc. There is progress where there is interest. To be continued.

We continue speaking about the ways how to motivate yourself to learn languages. I’ll share some tips that work with me. 1️⃣ Having a Language Learning Plan 2️⃣ Believe in Yourself 3️⃣Never compare your English speaking skills to others’. Don’t compare your beginning to someone else's middle, or your middle to someone else's end. Don't compare the start of your second quarter of life to someone else's third quarter. Jon Acuff Just focus on your progress.

🗞️ The news is not necessarily about the politics and economics. In Breakingnewsenglish.com you can read about very different things. Here’s latest news in a nutshell 🐢We all like birthdays. Jonathan the tortoise just had his 190th birthday. He is the world's oldest land animal. He was born in 1832. Some scientists think Jonathan could be 200 years old. He was born in the Seychelles, before Britain's Queen Victoria became queen. He was here before the postage stamp. Jonathan had a good birthday. He had a three-day party, with a special vegetable birthday cake. He did not get to see this because he is blind. He also cannot smell. His ears are OK, so he could hear people singing "Happy Birthday". He also has lots of energy. He likes to stretch his legs and relax in the sun.

🖤Black Friday 🖤 🛍Black Friday refers to the day just after Thanksgiving in the US. Because so many companies have a four day weekend, many people begin their Christmas shopping on this day. Now it's common all over the world 🛍️ It is believed by many that the term Black Friday derives from the concept that businesses operate at a financial loss, or are “in the red,” until the day after Thanksgiving, when massive sales finally allow them to turn a profit, or put them “in the black.” However, this is untrue. A more accurate explanation of the term dates back to the early 1960s, when police officers in Philadelphia began using the phrase “Black Friday” to describe the chaos that resulted when large numbers of suburban tourists came into the city to begin their holiday shopping and, in some years, attend Saturday’s annual Army-Navy football game. The huge crowds created a headache for the police, who worked longer shifts than usual as they dealt with traffic jams, accidents, shoplifting, and other issues. 🛍Black Friday is often reported as one of the busiest shopping days of the year. 🛍Shopping malls are packed with people, parking lots are crowded, and lines at stores are very, very long. 🛍Some stores even open at five or six in the morning because there are so many people. Other stores have discounts and sales to draw even more customers.
