get so angry at me it makes the blood that boils beneath your skin burst in flames, as you scream louder than those voices in your head that give you no rest at night. get so angry at me that your heart starts beating like the 8 drums that were playing when we visited the Shona people in Zimbabwe. get so angry you beat the walls with your ripped open knuckles as if I’m going to disappear with each hit. get so mad that you use the pillow to drown out my cries at night, because you’re too afraid you’ll use it on me. get so angry, that you decide to leave but notice that you can’t. you can’t because my fragile and bruised fingers will be holding on to the last piece of what’s left , because i’m too fucking in love with you to let the memory of us burn in the ashes of your madness.
