First You learn Individual Structure and Mechanics, so your natural expression in combat is short, powerful, efficient while in close range, then we do cooperative drilling with one another, that progressively adds in more challenges within the Wing Chun frame and structure. Once this is mastered then one can start to add in power, that is done solo, via structure/mechanic based hitting of hard objects, like sand bags, wooden dummies, and so forth, but if you have power with no structure/ body mechanics then it won't work..
