▪️groceries - продукты (grocery store)

▪️property - имущество, собственность
▫️There is State property, public property and cooperative property.
▪️circumstances - условия, обстоятельства
▫️I think they coped very well under the circumstances.
▪️to defend - защищать
▫️The army was sent in to defend the country against enemy attack.
▪️to offer - предлагать
▫️She was offered a job in Paris.
▪️to cure - излечивать (лечение)
▫️The medicine won’t cure her.

▫️Rebecca is too vain, she looks in the mirror all the time.
▪️to deter - отговаривать, отпугивать
▫️Russian roads deter people from driving.
▪️to prolong - продлевать
▫️She walked slowly around the city, trying to prolong her lunch break.
▪️sinister - зловещий, дурной
▫️My ex has a sinister laugh every time he jokes.
▪️to gratify - удовлетворять, радовать
▫️Ella was gratified after receiving her gift from her parents.
