🇵🇱🇺🇸Poland is prepared to construct new bases to host more NATO forces and other countries along the alliance’s eastern flank ought to follow suit, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told security leaders gathered in Warsaw. Poland has been a place of stay for many US units for a long time. And the number is to increase, according to the Prime Minister. Before the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, there were 80,000 U.S. troops in Europe, about 65,000 of whom are permanently based on the Continent. It reminds us of military training back in 2020 when hundreds of military vehicles and personnel came over to Europe to participate in the military training. Many things happened back then, for starters there were reports of road accidents with military cars and huge damage to the environment. Hopefully, the increased numbers of NATO troops wouldn't be an obstacle to maintain the environmental protection efforts and public peace. 🇺🇦🇷🇺
“Permanent bases of allies should be established in NATO’s eastern flank countries,” Morawiecki said Thursday at the Strategic Ark think tank forum. “Poland is ready to build such bases (to include) light infantry units on a permanent basis.”🇵🇱🇺🇸🇪🇺
