Today, April 20, at 7 pm London, 2 pm NYC, 11 am San Francisco, 9 pm Moscow, I will be talking about "The Habits of Rome." The first part of the lecture will be about the Roman calendar and its influence on our life (we're still using it). Its second part will be about Roman food. Its third part will be about the way Romans used to consume their food: when and especially *how* they ate.
I am the author of the historical guidebook "Here Was Rome"; its original Russian edition had won the country's most prestigious nonfiction award in 2013; in 2017 the English version was published in the UK.
