Next Monday, April 20, at 7 pm London, 2 pm New York City, 11 am San Francisco, 9 pm Moscow, I will be reading a lecture on Roman habits, focused on three things: how the Romans calculated time, esp. the time of the year; what they ate; and how they ate — this simple thing is being consistently misunderstood in every single movie.
I am the author of the historical guidebook "Here Was Rome"; its original Russian edition had won the country's most prestigious nonfiction award in 2013; in 2017 the English version was published in the UK.
Please come! Please share, if you have friends who might be interested in an edutainment (with many pictures!) lecture in English.
I will post another announcement with the necessary zoom link and other details at about the same time on Monday.
