Nucleic acids assemble like a puzzle☝🏻 Somehow it even resembles a binary code. Nucleic acids, or polynucleotides, are high-molecular-weight organic compounds that ensure the storage and transmission of genetic information in living organisms from generation to generation. They are the building blocks of DNA and RNA. The sequence of nucleotides in nucleic acids determines their primary structure. It is encoded into our genes and is built from five amino acids - their first letters are shown above in the animation. Guanine (G), cytosine (C), adenine (A) and thymine (T) to build DNA, and uracil (U) to build RNA. Without these five amino acids, humans would not exist🙌🏻
