Infantile hemangiomas are benign vascular neoplasms that are the most common head and neck tumors in infancy, characterized by a period of growth after birth and subsequent spontaneous involution. They can occur almost anywhere, but most of them are in the head and neck region. Although most hemangiomas are benign and require no intervention, intervention is sometimes warranted for large ugly lesions or lesions that impair vital functions.
