Carrel circular convulsion suture. In case an artery is injured, vascular clips are placed above and below the future suture if it is possible to bring its ends together. After excising the damaged sections and removing the adventitia (2-3 mm on each side), the artery ends are brought together and 3 U-shaped suture-holders are placed on them using atraumatic needles. The edges of the vessel are everted. The section of the vessel between the two nearest holders is stitched with a twist stitch, passing the needle from outside to inside.
