Testosterone Overdose Dangers Testosterone increases muscle mass and strength, contributes to the reduction of total blubber and decreases fat mass in relation to muscle, but can also increase fat deposits of the male type (on the stomach) and reduce fat deposits of the female type (on the hips, buttocks, chest). Men tend to use hormones containing testosterone to gain muscle mass and strength. However, an overdose of such drugs can lead to hypersexuality, as well as permanent severe breast obesity — gynecomastia, or temporary mild obesity — lipomastia, or false obesity.
