Ex-Deputy Minister of Defense Mikhail Mizintsev became deputy commander of the Wagner PMC. This information was confirmed by structures of Yevgeny Prigozhin.
The resignation of General Mizintsev from his post in charge of supplying the Russian army is rather a rotation, but not a punishment of the general. Mizintsev is considered a combat general; he was in charge of combat operations in Mariupol. Several sources in the Defense Ministry reported that General Mizintsev will become "a commissioner from Shoigu under Prigozhin." In fact, the very appointment of General Mizintsev to an important position in the Wagner PMC may mean the absorption and control of the mercenary army by the Ministry of Defense. The recent tantrum of Yevgeny Prigozhin, associated with the dissolution of the Wagner PMC, could demonstrate his unwillingness to get a "commissioner from Shoigu.
