THE SEATS OF JUDGMENT. By C. W. Doyle Read 15 mins The story “The Seats of Judgment” was written by C. W. Doyle and published in 1893 in the magazine “The Strand Magazine”. It is a detective story, in which the main character is Judge Doyle, who investigates the mysterious murder of a young woman, found dead in her apartment. Judge Doyle discovers that the killer left several clues at the crime scene, which point to his identity and motives. Judge Doyle uses his knowledge of the law and logic to solve the crime and sentence the killer. The author of the story - C. W. Doyle - was a British writer, journalist and lawyer. He was born in 1852 in London in a family of Irish immigrants. He studied at Cambridge on the law faculty and began practicing law in 1877. He also wrote stories and articles for various magazines, including “The Strand Magazine”, where he was a colleague and friend of Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes. He wrote detective, adventure and fantasy stories, as well as historical novels. He died in 1908 in London. @one_story
