Ph.D. student Database Lab at the University of California Merced Merced, California, USA Fully covered (tuition and monthly stipend: ~$2,500-2,700 before tax) Our lab is looking for talented students to study in a Ph.D. program. The lab's primary focus is one database and large-scale data management systems (theory and system design issues) with the goal of publishing at top database and data management conferences such as SIGMOD, VLDB, etc. Recent work has been in query processing and optimizations in database systems by using randomized algorithms and machine/deep learning.
