The famous Barbie has once again stirred the whole world. I created a more natural appearance for the doll, and it raises the question of whether Barbie could be as popular and desired with natural, authentic, and more conventional facial features.
Creating the Barbie doll was a real "bomb" in the world of body aesthetics. The artist, the creator of the doll's image, can be called the Oppenheimer of the world of aesthetic medicine, plastic surgery . Before the advent of social media, the Barbie was an object of dreams and imitation. The blue-eyed blonde with a small turned-up nose, full lips, raised eyebrows, wide cheekbones, and sharp lower jawline became an associative beauty ideal in the 2000s and continues to embody the ideal of desired beauty for many.
"Thin like Barbie, a doll-like nose like Barbie, lips like Barbie..." one can still hear today, although now people associate these images more with famous girls from social media. Conversely, girls with similar but natural proportions and forms suffer from accusations of allegedly having undergone plastic surgery. The same thing happened this time, even though they chose a blue-eyed blonde, Margot Robbie, with natural and authentic facial features for the role of Barbie. Yet, there are now discussions and condemnations around her, alleging that she had previously undergone plastic surgery. However, experienced and professional surgeons would say that Margot shows no traces, shapes, or lines indicating any plastic surgeries. In the movie, the makeup artists also left her facial and body features untouched.
