Smartling is looking for a creative and passionate Fullstack Software Engineer to work on our suite of cutting-edge, highly interactive, service driven web applications. Candidates should be as excited as we are about learning, discussing and using the latest techniques in web development to create highly scalable, performant services and web applications used by thousands of people every day.
You will be joining an existing team building and maintaining a cutting-edge translation management application which allows our clients and professional translators to manage the localization in an agile fashion. Our rapidly growing client list includes top names from the technology and Fortune 500 worlds.

Must Haves:
— At least 6 years in software engineering and 2 years of experience with Node.js.
— Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
— Strong knowledge of ES6.
— Experience with web application frameworks like Express/Koa.
— Experience with React.
— Knowledge of HTTP and REST.
— Experience with profiling and performance optimization.
— Software Design knowledge: Microservices, Design Patterns, OOP, Functional Programming.
— Experience with SQL/NoSQL.
Nice to Have:
— Experience with Java.
— Experience with AWS and infrastructure.
— Stream or batch processing using Kafka/MQ.
— Troubleshooting experience in Linux environment.
— Experience with Docker.
— GraphQL, WebSockets (beyond REST).
Tasks at hand
— Develop and maintain single page applications using React + Redux, Node.js, and ES2017.
— Peer code reviews.
— Design and implement functional tests.
— Collaborate with product and backend service teams.
