At Shopit we are developing a large-scale online consumer Shopping Search Engine for all of Europe. Our goal is to make all products, brands and retailers searchable in one shopping search engine. To achieve this we are using big data, data analysing, parallel processing, search engine logic and social shopping functionality together with modern web design and user experience for both web and mobile devices. In short we are creating the world’s largest product database.
One of these systems is end-user frontend web application that delivers data across different devices and screen resolutions and in same time have rich user experience.

Responsibilities of the position
• you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our frontend react application for the Comparison Shopping Engine
Required qualifications and skills:
• 4+ years of experience as a web application developer
• excellent knowledge of JavaScript, ES6+
• solid expertise in building modern, responsive web applications with React
• knowledge of a modern React stack to handle state, side effects, styling
• knowledge of standart technologies (HTML, CSS, HTTP, REST APIs, etc.)
• experience with server-side rendering and caching
• experience with microservice-based infrastructure
Desired qualifications and skills:
• experience with Redux, Redux-Saga, TypeScript, Webpack, Nodejs is a big plus
• experience in managing complexity at scale
• flexible and open-minded personality
• writing simple, clean and pragmatic code
• functional programming experience
Additional good to have qualifications and skills:
• web design / UX experience
• knowledge of Java maybe handy since many Java microservices are involved in end-user frontend application.
• experience in Comparison Shopping Services or Search Engines
The position is full-time at our office in Kiev, together with some short trips to our Växjö office in Sweden. You need to have good English in speech and writing to cooperate with the rest of the team in Sweden. (Also full-time work permit and re-location to Sweden could be possible later if you like this).
