QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in a software testing/quality assurance role, including strong UI testing automation, designing test strategies, performance and testing tools and strategies required
• 1+ years of lead or management experience in a software or technology field
• Expert experience with browser and server side test automation tools and strong understanding of mobile (iOS and Android) ecosystems
Preferred qualifications:
• BSc / BA in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience leading testers in transitioning from a manual-testing based role to being proactively involved in increasing usage of test automation
• MongoDB experience and writing queries in JavaScript
• Experience using Postman, SoapUI, or another API testing tool for testing backend services
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Help grow our team and cultivate innovation.
• Mentor and train other team members on QA techniques and best practices.
• Evaluate new tools that will increase the productivity and quality of software produced by our Scrum teams, choose appropriate tools, and build rollout strategies and training for them.
• Teach QA Engineers to identify what various levels of automated tests (unit tests API tests, UI tests) cover to avoid duplicating manual or automated testing effort
• Be a senior individual contributor within the team
• Assist with hiring additional Quality Assurance engineers
• Communicate risks or gaps in test coverage
• Improve the overall regression testing coverage across our platform
• Set QA team performance metrics and communicate them to senior management on a regular basis
