Brian Armstrong, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, disclosed in a July 31 interview with the Financial Times that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) wanted the company to delist almost all cryptocurrencies, leaving only Bitcoin: “And, we said, well how are you coming to that conclusion, because that’s not our interpretation of the law.
