​​Matter Labs announced the alpha release of its zkEVM - ZkSync Era. ZkSync is a Layer 2 network. And it will be the first zkEVM on the Ethereum blockchain. There is no native token at this stage but users can expect it to be released with the future decentralization of the network. ​​Matter Labs has raised $200M Series C funding round co-led by Blockchain Capital and Dragonfly in November 2022.
