In 1964, PanAmerican airline took Chrysler Turbine Car* on a world tour. Only 55 cars were made, all in colour as pictured. In 1966 all but 9 cars were destroyed.

PanAmerican flew the car 81175 kms around the world visiting some 25 countries during a 10 week tour.

* Chrysler Turbine Car has got an engine in form of turbine (like a jet planes have). Its fuel is the gas. Such engine does not require a gear box and has got a high gas consumption per km. Projected price for each car was 55k USD, which is a modern equivalent of 450k USD.
