Pushkin House book prize, that awards the best non-fiction writings about Russia, and of which I have this year the honour of being a jury member, has published a judges' short list.
It's a 10th anniversary of the prize, and a it's real marvel of bravery and dedication that the Pushkin house was able to carry on in 2022. On the list are many dear friends and favorite authors, although a judge is not supposed to air one's predilections in public (waiving a kiss, however, to Maria Stepanova and In Memory of Memory).
The final winner will be declared later in September: some time left to read the listed books!
