Zhirinovsky’s death is a big sign, that shows Russian Federation as the state project created in 1991 passes away. He was the founder of Liberal-Democrat party (LDPR) in the late years of the Soviet Union. This party was created by KGB to become a comfortable substitution for the real democratic opposition. LDPR has never been liberal and democratic, it supported far right ideas and tried to canalize any protest from that side. Zhirinovsky holds the world record for 6 participations in the president elections in 1991, 1996, 2000, 2008, 2012, and 2018. He is responsible for creating the current political system. His voters, less educated passive-aggressive men were forgiving him anything, even when he accused Ural people of being idiots. He was the only one who was allowed to say things other people would never do, because they would be put in jail for that. He played a role of the clown who checked the public opinion for Kremlin. I do not remember the time when Zhirinovsky did not participate in politics. And I’m sure that carriage race has begun. Our senile political leaders have done everything to stay in power. They were successful and they squeezed our generation out of the country. But nobody can win a battle against inevitable end. The future belongs to Russians, not to them. #zhirinovsky
