Dear Bulgarian students in (but not from) Blagoevgrad, As I hope you know, the Bulgarian Parliamentary Elections are taking place on April 2, 2023. If you are in Blagoevgrad at the time but your permanent address is in a different place, you can still vote in a polling station of your choice here in town. Here’s how: Get your student book verified for the semester or an enrollment certificate at the Registrar’s Office (ABF Student Center, 2nd floor) by Friday, March 31, 5:00 pm. I’d advise you to go for the student book verification; Bring your verified student book or the enrollment certificate and your Bulgarian ID card to a polling station of your choice in Blagoevgrad between 7am and 8pm; At the polling station, fill out and submit a declaration, that you will not vote at a different location. The polling station committee must provide you with the declaration form; Cast your vote electronically (here is a link to the e-voting device demo: ДЕМО - Избори за Народно събрание 2 април 2023 г. (cik.bg)) or with a paper ballot. The polling stations closest to campus are: Kindergarten #12, 47 Todor Alexandrov Str. Vasil Levski Professional High School, 56 Todor Alexandrov Str. Dimitar Talev Third Primary School, 13 St. Cyril & St. Methodius Blvd (ground floor – for voters with physical disabilities).
