This past December, the webcomic artist Rob DenBleyker told his large Twitter following about an experiment he had conducted: he ordered a McDonald’s burger on DoorDash with none of its elements selected, not even the patty or bun. Sure enough, a delivery person brought him an empty McDonald’s bag. A guy using the money he’s earned to do bullshit on the internet and force a low-wage worker to do bullshit for him: this stunt represents our entire economy. No one is self-actualizing here.
