Крупнейшая железнодорожная компания Японии JR East предоставит возможность оплаты билетов с помощью криптовалют. Кроме того, JR East инвестировала в японскую криптовалютную биржу DeCurret.
🔺Сообщается, что компания JR East воспользуется услугами облачного и интернет-провайдера IIJ для разработки платформы, которая позволит оплачивать билеты криптовалютами и стейблкоинами прямо на железнодорожных станциях.
✅Для оплаты проезда с помощью криптовалют жителям и гостям Японии придется воспользоваться «смарт-картой» Suica, которая достаточно популярна в стране. Ее принимают более 580 000 магазинов Японии, а количество выпущенных карт составляет свыше 75 миллионов.

Раньше мы использовали наличные деньги, они были универсальным средством оплаты, но теперь это изменится в сторону безналичных расчетов», – отметил управляющий директор JR East Шинобу Ногучи (Shinobu Noguchi).

Биржа DeCurret поддерживает BTC, BCH, LTC и XRP, а также планирует добавить поддержку ETH этим летом. Скорее всего, карта Suica будет поддерживать те же самые криптовалюты. Что же касается стейблокинов, то первым должен стать J Coin, созданный банковским гигантом Mizuho Financial Group.
