The liquidator of the Cryptopia exchange hacked at the beginning of last year, Grant Thornton, appealed to a New Zealand court with a request to loosen control over the liquidation process in order to expedite it.

Last summer, the company found out that Cryptopia did not use individual wallets to store cryptocurrencies of customers, and in October called on developers to help return stolen tokens.

The liquidator cannot determine whether the balances that Cryptopia showed on the customer accounts coincide with the balances of the hot and cold wallets of the exchange. Judging by the published information, the liquidators appealed to a court in New Zealand to help them expedite the process.
