Криптовалютная биржа Binance Jersey вознаградит хакера, который ранее на этой неделе получил доступ к её аккаунту в Twitter и основному домену.
Компания поясняет, что сделать это ему удалось, применив методы социальной инженерии в отношении стороннего поставщика услуг электронной почты, с которым она сотрудничает.
🔺«Этичный хакер разместил несколько твитов из Twitter-аккаунта @BinanceJE, после чего удалил их, – пишет Binance Jersey. – Этичный хакер был готов к сотрудничеству и пошёл на контакт с нашей командой безопасности. Мы смогли восстановить доступ к доменному имени в течение нескольких минут, а к Twitter-аккаунту – спустя пару часов».
✔️Получив доступ к аккаунту Binance Jersey в Twitter, хакер сообщил, что он мог бы использовать его для организации крупномасштабной фишинговой схемы, однако не станет это делать, хотя нуждается в деньгах.
Binance Jersey пишет, что наградит хакера в рамках программы по отлову багов и проведёт расследование действий поставщика услуг электронной почты.

Binance Jersey Cryptocurrency Exchange will reward a hacker who accessed her Twitter account and primary domain earlier this week.
The company explains that he succeeded in doing this by applying social engineering methods to a third-party email service provider with whom it collaborates.
🔺 “An ethical hacker posted some tweets from the @BinanceJE Twitter account, and then deleted them,” writes Binance Jersey. - The ethical hacker was ready to cooperate and made contact with our security team. "We were able to regain access to the domain name in a few minutes, and to the Twitter account after a couple of hours."
✔️After gaining access to the Binance Jersey account on Twitter, the hacker said that he could use it to organize a large-scale phishing scheme, but he would not do it, although he needed money.
Binance Jersey writes that it will reward the hacker as part of a bug-catching program and will investigate the actions of the email service provider.
