As Bloomberg clarifies, a borrower can get a dollar loan from a bank and transfer their cryptocurrency as collateral to a financial institution. ▪️BTC volatility could be a threat to such a loan. If the value of the cryptocurrency falls, then the borrower will be required to deposit additional collateral in BTC. In March, Goldman Sachs launched its own division dedicated to over-the-counter cryptocurrency transactions.
