Сергей Солонин, который является главой российского подразделения Qiwi, сообщил, что компания не собирается забирать свои средства, вложенные в Telegram Open Network. По его словам, руководство платежной системы готово дождаться решения Комиссии по ценным бумагам и вердикта суда.

Многие западные эксперты сообщают, что Telegram Open Network может лишиться минимум 30 процентов инвесторов из-за накалившейся атмосферы ввиду разбирательства с американским регулятором. Представители SEC обвинили проект в нарушении законодательства о проведении первичного размещения ценных бумаг.

Изначально он собирался инвестировать намного больше, но по неизвестным причинам сократил сумму, рассчитанную на поддержку стартапов и внешний компаний.
