Более двадцати организаций официально присоединились к проекту Libra после собрания Libra Association в понедельник.
Во время встречи в Женеве представители двадцати одной организации официально подписали устав Libra Association. Официальное присоединение участников к проекту следует за выходом из ассоциации сразу пяти членов – Visa, Mastercard, eBay, Stripe и Mercado Pago, которые объявили о своем решении на прошлой неделе.
✅Членами совета директоров стали соучредитель Calibra Дэвид Маркус (David Marcus), генеральный партнер Andreessen Horowitz Кэтрин Хон (Katie Haun), генеральный директор Xapo Венсес Казарес (Wences Casares), генеральный советник по правовым вопросам PayU Патрик Эллис (Patrick Ellis) и директор по стратегии Kiva Мэтью Дэви (Matthew Davie).
В состав управленческой команды ассоциации вошли Бертран Перес (Bertrand Perez), Данте Диспарте (Dante Disparte) и Курт Хемекер (Kurt Hemecker). Несмотря на то, что недавно проект покинули сразу несколько крупных компаний, ассоциация утверждает, что более 1 500 организаций выразили заинтересованность в присоединении к Libra.

❗️На прошлой неделе американские сенаторы призвали платежные компании пересмотреть планы по участию в проекте, а Банк Англии выпустил требования для запуска Libra на территории Великобритании. Кроме того, финтех-компания Current подала в суд на Calibra за нарушение прав собственности на логотип.

During a meeting in Geneva, representatives of twenty-one organizations formally signed the charter of the Libra Association. The formal joining of the participants to the project follows the exit from the association of five members at once - Visa, Mastercard, eBay, Stripe and Mercado Pago, who announced their decision last week.

❗️ Last week, US senators called on payment companies to reconsider plans to participate in the project, and the Bank of England issued requirements for launching Libra in the UK. In addition, the fintech company Current sued Calibra for infringement of ownership of the logo.
