Власти Германии намерены последовать примеру Франции и поддержать блокировку проекта Libra на территории ЕС. Соответствующая инициатива также находится на рассмотрении ряда других стран Европейского союза. В случае ее одобрения Facebook не получит возможности работать с резидентами государств EC.
🔺Глава французского Минфина Бруно Ле Мэр ранее заявлял, что запуск Libra в ЕС может стать серьезной угрозой для экономики стран, входящих в Европейский союз. Чиновник призвал коллег детальнее изучить проект и выделить самые спорные вопросы, на которые перед релизом монеты должны будут ответить представители Facebook.
Томас Хайльманн из Христианско-Демократического союза Германии отметил, что правительство ФРГ может принять решение о блокировке проекта Libra до конца текущего месяца. Главной причиной негодования чиновников является намерение Facebook создать систему, полноценно заменяющую банкинг и оборот фиатных валют. Запрет затронет не только монету, но и ее блокчейн-сеть.
🔺«Фиатные валюты пока являются основой мировой экономики, и с этим нужно считаться. Еврокомиссия детально изучает возможность применения криптовалют, но до момента создания четких нормативов их регулирования доступ крупных проектов к финансовому рынку должен быть закрыт», — заявил Хайльманн.
☝️Facebook сейчас активно ведет переговоры с правительствами стран ЕС и конгрессменами США на предмет интеграции Libra в финансовые системы. Официальный анонс и публикация вайтпеппера проекта запланированы на конец текущего года, а сама монета увидит свет в следующем году.

Thomas Heilmann of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany noted that the German government may decide to block the Libra project until the end of this month. The main reason for the indignation of officials is the intention of Facebook to create a system that fully replaces the banking and circulation of fiat currencies. The ban will affect not only the coin, but also its blockchain network.
